Avantika Shetty is an Indian actress and advertising film and television advisor who works primarily in Kannada cinema. She made her film debut in RangiTaranga (2015), which found a worldwide release and declared blockbuster, which earned her a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Before the movies, Shetty starred in a few television series and short films in Mumbai.
She debuts on the big screen with the thriller-drama RangiTaranga (2015) by debutante Anup Bhandari. When it came out, the film was a success that made its appearance through word-of-mouth reviews. The film has been released in many countries and has won favorable reviews. The film has been declared as one of the most profitable films of Kannada cinema. Shetty has been nominated at the Filmfare Awards for her role as a supporting actress. Following these successful debuts, she signed her second assignment for R. Anantharaju’s next horror film, Kalpana 2, opposite Upendra. A remake of the Tamil film by Raghava Lawrence, Kanchana 2, which takes again the role played by Tapsee Pannu in the original. She would have teamed up again with the Bhandari brothers for their next project titled Raja Ratha, which was unveiled during actor V. Ravichandran’s Dancing Stars 3 reality show.
