G-Eazy is grieving his mother’s death.
The rapper confirmed on Wednesday that his mother, Suzanne Olmsted, has died. G-Eazy, who is still in a state of “shock,” composed a heartfelt homage to the lady who reared him.
“The weeping will not cease. “My eyes ache, my face hurts, my body hurts, everything hurts,” he wrote with a collection of photographs of his mother throughout the years. “There is no safe place to hide and no pain-free position to rest, sit, or stand. The agony is excruciating. However, I am relieved that you are no longer in yours. I adore you.”
He continued by praising his mother’s “heroic struggle to live and defend us against all difficulties.” “You were the epitome of superhumanity,” he said. “What you went through, the anguish you experienced, and the insurmountable difficulty you encountered will live with me for the rest of my life, firmly ingrained in the threads of my identity and being. You will always be the source of my greatest motivation.”
While he did not specify how she died, G-Eazy praised his mother for motivating him to get treatment for alcohol and drug abuse.
“As concerned as I was about you and your physical condition, I had no idea how concerned you were about me until you gave me the most difficult letter I’ve ever had to read… My choice to seek treatment for alcohol and drug abuse was voluntary, but your letter eventually convinced me.”
G-Eazy also released a heartwarming voice note from his mother, in which she expressed her pride in him.
“Returning to this was not simple, and nothing will ever progress… “However, as you always say, ‘one step at a time and don’t look ahead,'” he said.
G-Eazy and his brother James had a special link with their mother, and although they are devastated, they will continue to honor her legacy.
“You loved your two sons more than life itself, and we adore you as well,” he said. “Fortunately, we have each other to draw on, and that is all that counts. Our hearts are devastated, yet they are overflowing with appreciation and love for the life you gave us. We will always have you with us… we adore you, mum.”
G-fans Eazy’s and partners, including Demi Lovato, Bebe Rexha, and E-40, expressed their profound sympathies in the comments section of his Instagram post.
