It’s the end of the road for Common and Tiffany Haddish.
After a year together, the pair has called it quits. They split up because it was too difficult to sustain their long-distance relationship, according to PEOPLE.
“They are seldom in the same place together, and both of them are just too busy for a meaningful relationship,” adds the insider.
Their split comes more than a year after Haddish revealed she and Common were dating after meeting on the set of their 2019 film The Kitchen. Before their quarantine romance blossomed into anything more, the two embarked on a virtual date.
“This is hands down the finest relationship I’ve ever been in,” she said on the podcast “Steve-Wild O’s Ride!” “I’ve shed 20 pounds since starting this relationship.” I’m more confidence in myself, and it’s not because of him.”
Haddish kept gushing over the Grammy-winning rapper. “I’m just a lot happier, and it’s like knowing I have someone who cares about me and has my back.” In any case, it seems that he does. And I just adore it. “I adore him.”
Common, for his part, complimented the comedian and actress for bringing out the best in him. “It’s really just about being in a relationship where you can develop and support one other’s purpose and vision,” he told PEOPLE. “I’m improving you, and you’re improving me.”
Haddish was previously married to her ex-husband, William Stewart. Common has a 24-year-old daughter, Omoye Lynn, with his ex-girlfriend, Kim Jones.
