Wells Fargo: How to transfer money between accounts, banks and Send money to family abroad

Account holders of Wells Fargo can now transfer funds between accounts or between banks from the convenience and comfort of their home, without having to visit a bank branch. With Wells Fargo Online Wires, you can transfer funds to personal and business accounts in the United States and more than 200 other countries.
Customers can also send money to family members abroad, send and receive money with Zelle, transfer money, and quickly and securely pay their bills or others without using cash or a check.

The bank’s online and mobile banking services are streamlined, quick, and secure, allowing you to Wire money to business and personal accounts around the world from your computer or mobile device.

Before initiating the fund transfer and bill payment, you must register for the Wells Fargo mobile app and online banking by following these instructions.

To transfer funds using Wells Fargo Wires, you must set up the transfer process as outlined below.

To send a wire, you must possess:

The recipient’s name and mailing address

2. The bank name of your recipient

3. A valid U.S. mobile number or secure ID device

Also required for domestic wire transfers are:

The routing number (ABA/RTN) for the recipient’s bank. We can look up your routing number on the Add Recipient screen if you do not know it.

The account number of the recipient

To send an international wire transfer, you must also have:

The SWIFT/BIC for the bank of your recipient. The bank receiving your wire transfer is identified by its SWIFT code or Bank Identification Code (BIC). If you do not know, contact the bank of the recipient.

2. The International Bank Account Number of your recipient (IBAN). An IBAN is used to identify individual bank accounts at international banks. Wells Fargo may request an IBAN when you send an international wire transfer, depending on the country.

Certain countries require the following additional codes:

The Australian Branch Code (BSB)

2. Canada: Canadian Payment Routing Number

3. United Kingdom: Sort Code

4. India: IFSC Code

5. Mexico: CLABE

6. New Zealand, Cook Islands, Niue, Pitcairn, and Tokelau: Clearing Code for New Zealand

Some countries also require you to specify the reason for your payment.

STEP BY STEPS TO TRANSFER FUND WITH WELLS FARGO WIRES

To begin, log in to Wells Fargo Online, navigate to Transfer & Pay, and enrol in Online Wires.

2. Choose Money Transfer from the Transfer & Pay menu.

3. Add recipient details.

HOW TO TRANSFER BETWEEN ACCOUNTS OR BETWEEN BANKS VIA WELLS FARGO ONLINE

By setting up Wells Fargo transfers online, customers can easily transfer funds between their Wells Fargo checking and savings accounts and accounts held at other U.S. financial institutions.

Sign in to access transfer options.

2.Select the accounts you wish to transfer money From and To to get started.

To transfer funds between Wells Fargo and non-Wells Fargo accounts, select Add Non-Wells Fargo Accounts.

To send money with Zelle, all you need is an email address or a U.S. mobile phone number with Zelle® enrollment through Wells Fargo Online.

Enrolling your eligible checking or savings account based in the United States is simple and quick. By following the steps below, you can do it directly in Wells Fargo Online or the Wells Fargo Mobile app.

Sign in and choose Transfer & Payment.

2. Navigate to Send Money with Zelle and read the Welcome message.

3. Read the Zelle Transfer Service Addendum and accept it.

4. Register an email address or a U.S. mobile number, and then select the account to which you wish to deposit funds.

HOW TO INTERACT WITH ZELLE

Adding payment contacts is simple using Wells Fargo Online or the Wells Fargo Mobile app.

Sign in and choose Transfer & Payment.

Select the address book icon and the “+” icon to add a recipient from the Zelle screen.

3. On the Add Recipient screen, enter the email address or U.S. mobile number of the recipient. Then, enter their given name and last name.

4.Click Save to add the contact to your list of Zelle recipients.

Money transfers are quick and convenient. It is already included in the Wells Fargo Mobile app.

Sign in and choose Transfer & Payment.

Visit the Send Money with Zelle page.

Choose a recipient from your list, or add a new one. Then, select a From Account and input the amount.

4. Select Review and verify the email address or trusted U.S. mobile number and name are accurate.

RECEIVE MONEY FROM ZELLE

To receive money, you must register your own email address or U.S. mobile number and select a Wells Fargo savings or checking account.

Sign in and choose Transfer & Payment.

Select Receive Settings or Settings from the Zelle interface.

3.On the Settings screen, select the U.S.-based account into which you wish to deposit funds, and then click Register next to the email address or U.S. mobile number you wish to use, or both.

4.Inform the sender that you accept Zelle payments. To send, they will need your U.S. cell phone number or email address.

HOW TO INITIALLY PAY BILLS USING WELLS FARGO ONLINE AND MOBILE BANKING

You must have an eligible Wells Fargo checking account to use Bill Pay. You may pay your bills from your checking account or from other eligible accounts.

Beginning with Bill Pay

1. Create payees There are already your Wells Fargo Credit Cards and loans.

2.Plan your payments, including amounts and due dates.

3.Set up automatic payment, and we’ll handle the bill.
